How does it work?
Food Safety for Food Handlers can be completed online from anywhere in the world equipped with a windows-based computer, high-speed internet connection (ADSL or cable modem) and the Internet Explorer web browser.
The average time to complete the course is about 6 hours. The course must be completed within 30 days of beginning it and the final exam must be proctored (overseen) by
an approved proctor (see a list of proctors in your area to the right - or request a proctor be established in your area). You may need to travel
to the location of your proctor to complete the final exam and receive your official certificate.
Students progress at their own pace through eight easy-to-use interactive modules. Each multimedia module contains text, graphics, audio and self-test features.
You may stop the course and resume it later. Modules must be completed in sequence and a minimum time is set. Help is available by phone and email. You may review modules until you are
ready to complete the 50 question final exam. You may repeat the exam if you are at first not successful.
Student results are held in a secured SQL Server database available only to the authorized organization offering the course and KnowledgeWare.
