What is it?
WHMIS Enterprise is a WHMIS worker awareness training system intended to minimize cost and management time while keeping worker WHMIS training compliance levels high. The system is designed to offer easy access to students to self-enroll and provides simple-to-use tools to push training accountability responsibilities down to floor level managers, freeing up your time.
How do students get a certificate?
Students (or managers) can self-print certificates of successful completion.
What equipment is required?
Students can do online courses from any modern computer or phone (tablet or larger size recommended) with a modern web browser capable (google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, etc.) Audio capability is recommended.
What’s the Benefit?
After issuing basic login instructions to students, the system is largely self-maintaining. Training is available 24/7 meaning new hires or contractors can be trained before arrival. Self-enrollment and automatic inactivation of completed students minimizes management time and maintenance. Site-specific course creation and customization features are available. Floor level managers can be given responsibility and tools to maintain training compliance in their area. Management compliance reports can be instantly printed in the event of a regulatory inspection. Contact us if you have questions.
WHMIS Enterprise is intended as a cost-effective system to help larger organizations maintain a high level of WHMIS training compliance with minimal input of time and effort. After an initial setup, a company login page is available to direct students to. After being issued a companyID and password, students can self-populate themselves into the database and begin their WHMIS (or other types of) training. Easy XLSX import: students with consistent company identification numbers can be directly imported from an XLSX sheet exported from your HR system.
Create an Efficient Training Plan: Students or employees are automatically assigned a training plan that you establish based on their job title, people type, location/department, or by individual. Typically, a WHMIS training plan might be either the WHMIS Orientation or WHMIS + course (for new hires) first, followed after a preset period (i.e. 2 years) by the WHMIS Refresher course. Transitory students (such as attached to colleges or universities) might be offered a single course, then their people record inactivated after a preset period (training history is maintained for compliance purposes).
A monthly student-status report sent to floor level supervisors makes training visible to all, requires accountability, and can dramatically improve compliance levels.
Delegate compliance tasks: Location or department managers (or supervisors) can be instantly setup to receive regular compliance reports for people in their area, and can do basic maintenance on student records (monitoring compliance, inactivating leavers, updating an email address, adding classroom training or tool talk records, etc). Senior managers can monitor compliance by regular KPI reports showing location and department compliance levels by manager.
Comply with regulatory responsibilities by tracking other company training or safety talk initiatives, and generating instant compliance reports in the event of a regulatory inspection. Students can be inactivated a preset time after finishing their training plan in order to keep the database size small.
Instantly delegate training compliance responsibilities to department managers and/or supervisors. Real-time monitor training compliance % with scheduled management KPI reports.
Students proceed through self-paced and graphical, narrated lessons and a final quiz. Quiz results are automatically scored and stored for management reference. For multiple enrollments, the Simply! Tracking program provides managers with access to completion data, batch certificate printing, expiry notifications, and training done and training due reports.
